The largest ceramics brand empowers its employees through REMO intranet portal
The Challenge
Touted to be one of the largest ceramic brands in the world, we have an annual production capacity of being able to produce 110 million square meters of tiles, 5 million pieces of bathroom sinks, basins, and toilets, 24 million pieces of porcelain tableware and 600,000 pieces of faucets.
We take pride in not only our huge investment in the ideas and innovations, but also in the practices and the collective know-how of our dedicated employees. Those assets go to waste when they aren’t saved, shared and re-used.
Unfortunately, most of their collective knowledge remains unseen, undocumented within a company data base, and are permanently lost when people retire or move on. Ergo, the overflow gets filtered to HR and IT teams to pick up the slack via email or phone.
Users may have to wait a day or more for an answer, and then more hours or days if they had follow-up questions. The whole process for us became costly, time consuming and frustrating. So, when looking for a unified platform that could effectively communicate and collaborate both sides of the coin, and could meet our goals and high standards, we chose Remo. No second guessing.
The Result
- REMO merged the tasks with respect to all announcements or HR surveys through the intranet into one seamless data base.
- A Knowledge repository was created for collection of ideas, while tailored innovative strategies and tips were designed to be applied during discussion forum sessions with the outcome being remarkably improved brainstorming thoughts.
- Better control over the organization.
- Allowing to create workflow for the business process.
- All the data in a single location.
